Gary M. Reing, Esq.
Gary graduated from Ithaca College in May of 1973 with a B.A. in Political Science, and from Golden Gate University School of Law with a J.D. in May of 1978. He is admitted to the New York State and Federal Court for the Southern District of New York and the Tax Court of the United States. He is a certified class counsel and he is able to represent taxpayers in tax tribunals through the country.
Gary limits his practice to real estate, tax, estate and trust matters and fair debt collection, with offices in both Westchester County and New York City. He has been heard on National Public Radio (Marketplace and Marketplace Money) on occasion, regarding tax and financial issues and has been quoted in various publications on tax issues.
Gary is the immediate past chairman for the Lawyers Assistance Program for New York City Bar Association and is also a trustee of the New York Lawyer Assistance Trust. He presents on issues of recovery from alcoholism and addiction as well as the programs offered by the Lawyers Assistance Program committees. Additionally he serves on the board for the Insight Foundation and Temple Beth Shalom. Gary has been married to his wife, Ellen, for 30 years and they have two children, Jesse and Scott.
Scott H. Reing, Esq.
Scott graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Law. He then received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in June, 2012. While at Brooklyn Law, Scott served as the President of the Moot Court Honor Society, and received The Leonard Taubenblatt Award for Ethics due to his outstanding work with both Lawyers Helping Lawyers and the Lawyer's Assistance Program. Scott is admitted to practice law in both New York and New Jersey. Scott is married to his beautiful wife, Kei. They have a rambunctious daughter named Liberty Belle and a dog who is aptly named Molasses.
Ellen Reing
Ellen received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Pathalogy and Audiology from Herbert Lehman College in 1973. She later obtained her M.A. in Audiology. Ellen is fluent in sign language and worked as a speech therapist at St. Joesph's School for the Deaf in the Bronx since 1973 until her retirement in 2012. After taking a 17-year hiatus to raise Jesse and Scott, she returned to St. Joseph's on a part time basis while continuing to assist Gary during tax season. In her spare time, Ellen enjoys traveling the world with Gary, and is part of a community musical theater group, where she loves to perform.
